For 40 years, the Safeway Insurance Group has provided automobile insurance to drivers in various states across the country. Our organization is based in Westmont, Illinois, located in suburban Chicago, and maintains field offices in those states that we serve. We began in 1962 by offering insurance coverage, as we still do, in the greater Chicago metro area, but have expanded through time to operate primarily in the southern United States. Today, Safeway operates seven insurance companies within the Group and offers insurance coverage in nine states that include Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The Safeway Insurance Group, since inception, has been under the leadership of William J. Parrillo who continues to guide the organization as Board Chairman and President. Robert M. Bordeman, Chief Executive Officer, leads the management of the organization. In total, the Group is staffed by over 400 insurance professionals and has partnered with over 2400 independent agents to serve our customers.
